Soft Art is a means to an end. To channel my creativity and translate my soul onto the canvas in a strong provocative way, I must remain clear by rejecting the world’s bitterness . I must remain soft rejecting the world’s hardness because I still believe it to be a beautiful place with endless discoveries and magnificent people.

The vision of the “Creation of Man” exhibition is to open the eyes of those viewing the art to the engineering and design of their own bodies. Through this they can embrace the evidence of a Grand Designer. All people live in a body. This is one of the most common things humanity shares. This exhibition will explore, through art, the inner workings of the body. Beyond the mechanics, viewers of the exhibition will go on a journey, learning how the body is synonymous with design. Design is about intelligently organized elements. The body is evidence of a Supreme Designer. You can witness the principles and elements of design all throughout the sections of the body. Coinciding with the exhibition will be the launch of J.C. Barba’s 460-page book, “Creation of Man.”

Beat the summer heat at our Summer INDOOR juried art festival at the historic McKinney Cotton Mill. Explore juried art by local artisans showcased against the grandeur of century-old architecture. We've expanded our footprint into the gorgeous Atrium Hallway, in addition to the Grand Hallway and Event Hall. Enjoy food by Flaming Grill BBQ and drinks by the Amazing Bartending services. Our neighbor, White Box Roastery, will be open, offering coffee, tea, pastries, and snacks while you shop.

the arts festival produced in collaboration with the Garland Cultural Arts Commission, Inc., Garland Independent School District, and Visit Garland with support from the City of Garland.
Big Art Day celebrates and showcases artists and the arts in Garland. Visitors to Big Art Day can view and purchase work at the Art Market, explore exhibits at Granville Arts Center, participate in interactive hands-on crafts for kids, and enjoy live entertainment.
